No space for violence against women; people must stand against it: Prof. Noushad Husain

Bhopal, 08^th December 2022: Flagging off a rally of students to mark the International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women, MANUU College of Teacher Education (Bhopal) Principal Prof. Noushad Husain has categorically stated that there must be no space for violence against women and urged people to stand against this type of heinous crime against women.

“It is our duty to ensure security and overall empowerment at all levels for prevention of violence and discrimination against women,” Prof. Noushad Husain said while addressing the students.

He also called for taking a stand against this type of violence against women. He also highlighted the mental stigma associated with violence against women.

The rally was taken out at 11:30 am from the college campus to a primary school compound located at nearby village Shanti Nagar and it ended at the same place at college campus at 1 pm.

At the primary school compound, a Nukkad Natak was also performed in order to spread awareness among people about the elimination of violence against women. The Nukkad Natak was performed by B.Ed. students who contributed in raising a spotlight on the prevalent issue of women violence under the guidance of Dr. Naheed Jahan Siddiqui, an Assistant Professor (Performing Arts) at MANUU College of Teacher Education, Bhopal.

The “International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women” is being observed by Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad and its constituent colleges and its other institutions on 25^th November 2022 which continued till 09^th December 2022.
